Language Project

I wanted to know if the project had to be with the child had to be recorded at one time or if I could use conversations from different days to get my utterances.

  1. The language sample must be from one event with the child. It may be that you and the child spent 2 1/2 hours together and you taped the entire time. YOu would view or listen to the entire tape and chose the segment that you believe would give you the most information about the child's language abilities. During which time was the child interacting the most or using his language the most? Use that segment for the 100 utterances to analyze.

  2. So we cannot videotape the child in different settings? I had a videotape with the child learning how to ride a bike, and then a tape on him opening up birthday presents.
