So the past two weeks for me have now gone from bad to worse. Last Thursday my mom found out that the precancerous cells that she had removed last year have come back worse this time though they are still precancerous. She has a doctor's appointment with her surgeon next Thursday. Also we found out a last week that my uncle has a rare blood disorder that can cause liver damage and other things if they can't get it under control. Finally, this morning my mom called and told me that they had to take my grandmother to the hospital last night becuase she couldn't breath and she's now been diagnosed with COPD and congestive heart failure. The worst part of it all is that we (entire family) have been telling my grandmoter for years that she needed to see a new doctor and quit smoking but she wouldn't listen to us. I just hope she'll listen now.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I will pray for you and your family.

ReplyDeleteTrista, I know first hand the power of prayer. Know I will be praying for you and your family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do or if you want to get together to pray. I know there are other students in the class as well who are willing to pray and are praying about specific things for members of the class. I'm sure a good ol' coffee time prayer meeting could be worked out for anyone who would want to do that.
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer in prayer and I truly believe that our Heavenly Father hears and answers all those prayers that are lifted up to him. Hang in there, and try to enjoy your Fall Break. :)
ReplyDeleteI believe prayer is a powerful thing and is getting me through a tough time in my life. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless and take care.
ReplyDeleteThe power of prayer is amazing and cannot be explained! It is amazing what God can do. God never leads you to something that you cannot make it through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteHere's an update on my grandmother. The doctor told her that her lungs are completely shot and that the way her body was keeping her alive was by making her legs swell, building up pressure, so her heart could get blood to her lungs and other organs. The doctor also told her that if she doesn't stop smoking that she only has 7 months to a year to live and that she'll have to wear oxygen all the time because she can't take in enough for her body to function. So far she's not listening to what the doctor is saying. I hope that we can get through to her soon. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteTrista, God is Awesome and can do all things. I will be praying for you and your family. I agree with Mrs. White, if you would like to have an ol'coffee time prayer meeting I would me more than glad to meet with you to pray. God is there for you to lean on so don't hesitate to use his shoulder to lean on. Remember, he will never give you more than you can handle. When you think you can't handle anymore he will then pick you up and carry you through it. I Love the Footprints poem where it say's "where you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you". Let me know if you need anything or if I can do anything. May God Bless You and Your Family.
ReplyDeleteTrista I am so sorry to hear all this about your family!! Just keep the Lord in your Prayers and he will help you through this! My family has been through some rough times and I know that I could not have done it without the Lord on my side!! So if there is anything you need just let me know and may God Bless you and your family!
