My child thatI did mine with does not use all of these Semantic Phases. Is that ok if I don't have an utterance for each one? AlsoI was wondering if this was considered as notice?
Child: I find Mickey House
But he really meant to say "I found Mickey Mouse"

Can we use the Checklist posted in blacboard for our project or do we need to create a new one?
ReplyDeleteI just used the one on blackboard but alot of them I didn't have utterances for. Do you know if thats ok??
ReplyDeleteNotice are words that call attention to something such as, "hey" or "look."
ReplyDeleteYes, you are to use the sheets in the Assignment section in the Project folder. Are you referring to the Pragmatic Conversational skills checklist? Yes, use the one that is a part of that project there.
A child may NOT have demonstrated an ability to use all of the phases. These are in developmental order. A child may only demonstrate the ability to communicate meaning in the very first phase. It is totally dependent upon the developmental stage of language your child has attained.
ReplyDeleteI added mostly just the words that had meaning and that i could determine what exactly what was being said by the child.
