Mrs. White

I hate it because I missed class today. Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your class. You are such an awesome lady. To see you go through what you have went through this semester and still carry on with life and your walk with God just amazes me. You are such a strong and faithfu woman of God, I really admire you for that. Thank you for such an awesome class. I'll try to keep in touch with you through facebook, maybe we can catch up with each other over a cup of coffee sometime. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. May God Bless And Keep You!!

  1. Yes this class was sad, it was hard seeing Mrs. White so upset and then she played a clip for us called the Invisible Woman, it almost made me cry. This class was the best I have had in my college career and Mrs. White's style of teaching is great and the fact that she continued despite all that was going on. She is an inspiration.

  2. I deeply appreciate your kind sentiments. Although these have been the roughest 4 months of my life I can honestly say it has been the opportunity to teach or to "build cathedrals" that has been part of my purpose each day. I believe God has given me the opportunity to see Him in so many of YOU. He's used YOU to teach me what it is He wanted me to learn about how to continue to be a better educator.

It's easy to teach when things in life are good. It's INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT to teach when one's world is literally falling apart around them. It's then we realize for whom we REALLY teach. I always thought it was for YOU I taught . . . and in yes, it is in many ways. I want to build human cathedrals and human builders who will build other cathedrals.

But, what I realized this semester I teach for the one who made me and gave me the ability TO teach. To not try my best is disappointing Him.

You deserve my best and so does He.

Merry Christmas. Emmanuel - God with us. We are never alone. I'm counting on that this Christmas.

  3. As Mrs. White said in class she has held us up to high expectations. This has been on of my harder classes this semester. However, I feel like what we have learned in class I actually remember. There are so many classes I have taken where I memorize the material for the test and forget it. I never think about the material again. In SED due to the way Mrs. White presents the material, the in class exercises and worksheet I feel like I have retained the material. I feel like I can relate this material to other classes. I really enjoyed this class and Mrs. White you will continually be in my prayers.
