A little about me =)

Hey everybody! My name is Kayla Peace and I am a Junior here at EKU. I am recently a transfer from the University of the Cumberlands where I played on a golf scholarship there for two years. My major is Deaf Education and it is truly my passion. Besides my family and friends, I love nothing more than to sign and work with deaf children and adults. I am from Williamsburg, Kentucky...which pretty much seems like the middle of nowhere, haha. For all of you who don't know where it's at, it's about 45 mintues south of here. =) I am highly involved in my home church, Calvary Missionary Baptist, where I lead a youth interpretive team there. I am so thankful for what God has done and is going to continue to do in my life! God, my family, and friends are the backbone of my life and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have them! I have worked at Whitley Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech for the past 4 years, and I still plan on working there during breaks and in the summer. I recently had an encounter with a deaf lady that came into the pharmacy and nobody could communicate with her, so they came to the back and got me. I went up to the counter and started asking her if I could help her, and the look of relief on her face when she seen I knew how to sign truly blessed me! God has put this passion in my life for a reason and I LOVE everything about it! I put in my Sorority recruitment fee, so I'm hoping I will get to meet a lot of new peopole =)!
