I'm not sure how the rest of you feel but I have really enjoyed class this week; I have loved the material we are covering and the in-class worksheets have been extremely helpful!
Discussing the different stages of the language development reminded me of my daughter and how she sounded when she started putting words together.
As a little girl Shelby LOVED books, and LOVED to be read to. As she got a little older and started putting words together she would try to read to me and her Dad. Most of the time Shelby's words were gibberish with the exception of two words......"Hers Purdy" (spelling ?)
she would repeat this over and over again for each and every page. I tried several times to correct Shelby and tell her to say "She's pretty" but she wouldn't have it, she would just look at me and nod her head up and down and say "Hers Purdy." (spelling?)
My husband and I have that precious memory on video. :)
