So, as we near the end of the semester with many assignments, projects and tests coming due. . . I encourage you to consider these tips for each day. See if there aren't at least a few you can do each day.
- Take one day at a time.
- Pray
- Eat right.
- Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
- Talk less; listen more.
- Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
- Find time to be alone, jot down thoughts and inspirations.
- Spend time with someone you love.
- Laugh, find at least a few minutes to relax and have fun.
- Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
- Go to bed on time and get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
- Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.
These are very encouraging! Especially praying! I need to work on the going to bed on time, because the start of my day is always rushed :(.
ReplyDeleteI also need to work on the tip, "Go to bed on time and get up on time so you can start the day unrushed." I just can't seem to make myself go to bed early enough! I am always tired when my alarm clock starts going off and I want to keep hitting snooze over and over! I am going to work on this! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Perfect timing as well. I was just looking over all that has to be done in the next few weeks and was really overwhelmed. I must remember to take it one day at a time. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree with Ashley praying ALWAYS helps!!
Thanks for sharing- I don't know about the rest of you but I could definitely use some encouraging words right now.
ReplyDeleteStephanie I'm with you....I too feel overwhelmed with everything that has to be completed over the next week. :(
These are great tips! Thanks! I need to work on pacing myself. I have a bad habit of focusing all of my attention on only one project at a time. I have to get it done before I can move on to the next. This is a terrible habit because then I end up rushing at least one of the projects to get it done on time. I need to learn to work on one project for an hour and then work on another fpr an hour and so on.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is not too stressed out. The semester is almost over!
thnks Mrs. White, I needed these
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading this. It is all true and something I needed to hear. It gives something new to try in my day. Thank you for posting it.
ReplyDeleteThese really are things that seem as if they would be very helpful. They are all so simple to do, but for some reason never seem to happen. It's nice to see them written down, it might make it easier to complete each day. Thanks!
