Observation

So i am finally done with my 15 hours of observation for EDF 203. At first I was not looking forward to going every Tuesday. I had other things that I needed to get done and 15 hours of outside time seemed like a lot. However, this Tuesday was my last day and I was kinda sad to leave. I helped with the after school program and the students were putting on a puppet show. I helped them make their puppets and it was fun to see the whole thing come together. Their show for the whole school was today, I really wanted to go but had class. I felt like being there helped me relate things that we were learning in class. I am going to have to do another 15 hours of observation next semester. I am hoping I can go back there and work with the same kids.

  1. It's good to be able to follow-up and see how students progress over time. It's also good to have a variety of observation experiences to see the wide variety of instructional settings and student learning needs. Great benefits in both options.

  2. I am taking this class next semester. Any suggestions on a teacher? What class material is covered in the course? What is your advice for me on taking this class and doing well with my observations? 15 hours does seem like a lot. But I am sure I will enjoy it, just as you have.

  3. The observations for this class were very interesting because you were suppose to be in a mentoring area. I like how specific they were so that you do see different areas when it comes to observations.
