Observations

Good afternoon,

I am attempting to finish grading the observation reports.  I know that several times in class we talked about the importance of drawing connections between what was observed in the classroom and what you are learning in SED260.  This is the purpose for the observation.  Are you able to identify the concepts, discussions, material from the text and class discussions within a real world classroom setting.

If you have questions about your observation grade feel free to email me to discuss it.

I am interested in your feedback on the rubric.  How did you use it to develop your report?  How could the rubric or other communication be improved to assist you in demonstrating your understanding of SED260 material as it was implemented within the classrooms you visited?

  1. I loved having the rubric to go by. It seemed like it helped me know what to look for in the classroom setting. I noticed more of things that we had discussed in class instead of trying to take everything in at the same time. When I was writing the actual report I had the rubric right beside me and I would look between it and what I was typing. When I first heard about this assignment I was a little afraid because I wasn't sure what was expected but the rubric showed me the answer to that question and helped a lot.
