I just got back from our field trip and it was great! Very interesting and informative! The coolest thing I saw was the eyegaze. It was super cool. I can just imagine if I couldn't communicate because of a disability that it would be so frustrating. This program would be such a help and blessing to someone. It would allow someone the ability to say what they wanted and needed.

I agree you with Stephaine the eyegaze was the one of the coolest things I have ever seen. If you are going on the field trip wed. make sure you really take your time with everything because all the different stuff they show you is really cool.
ReplyDeleteI also like the eye gaze. As soon as I got home I told me husband about it. It is great that we have technology that can help people communicate. I also like the adapted book for students who are having problems reading.

I agree that the eyegaze was really cool. Can you believe that it costs around $18,000!!! That is crazy! It is sad though because it is such an amazing piece of technology that could make a huge difference in a person's life and yet I wonder how schools or families could actually afford something like that.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that we had the opportunity to go and witness first hand- all that is available to better the lives of those less fortunate.
Oh, and I loved the Toy Library, the donkey was my favorite!! :)
