Great Break
I hope everyone had a great holiday break. I had an awesome holiday break. I spent the bigger part of 3 days with my parents. Haven't had a chance to spend that much time with them lately. My 6 and 10 year old nephews and I put up my mom and dad's tree last night and we had a blast. I have a lot of homework to do in the next 3 weeks but I'm ready for this semester to be over. I will have to say SED 260 was my favorite class this semester. Thank you Mrs. White for making it such a great class, your and awesome teacher and person. See everyone in class tomorrow afternoon.

My mom and I went to my aunt's house yesterday to help her put up her Christmas decorations. She usually puts up several trees. We only helped put up two. Many of the ornaments we put on the large tree in the great room were ones my Grandmother crocheted. She's been gone for almost 15 years now and the ornaments are still beautiful. She made snowflakes, bells, baskets and wreaths. She'd also made angels but they are for a different decoration/display. It was good to help decorate since I doubt I'll do it this year at my house, but certainly filled with so many emotions. The most fun was seeing my mom crawl out from behind/under the tree after she'd been behind it putting on the lights.
ReplyDeleteMy parents came to Lexington this year for Thanksgiving. I think it is going to become a new family tradition which is really exciting that I don't have to drive 2 hours home!:) Also, my sister and another friend went shopping on Saturday in Florence and somewhere in Ohio and we had an awesome time! I am not looking forward to all the homework I have ahead of me, but I am super excited about the semester ending and Christmas coming soon!
ReplyDeletei wish i had a chance to spend some time with both of my parents. its hard to with not living up there, or even get to see them together. Christmas is coming up, so i'd say that i will get to spend some time with them as soon as i get back
