Hello Everyone!
I was thinking about what Mrs. White suggested today about pushing the Language Analysis Project back and having the Reading Response due sooner. How many of you would like to have a little bit more time on the Language Analysis Project? I for one, would love to see the date pushed back to Dec. 7th!?
What do the rest of you think?

I'm with Jeannie on this one
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I have so many huge assignments due in November and I already have the reading response done. So pushing the language project due date to December would be great! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree as well. I know Mrs. White said that we would be working on the project Monday, if we change the due date am I correct to assume that we won't work on it Monday?
ReplyDeleteI would like to have the language project pushed back as well. With my grandfather having surgery soon I would rather do the smaller of the two assignments that way I know that I'll do a good job on the language project instead of having to rush through it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else. I know that I could use some more time to work on the Language project!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the language project pushed back to Dec. and turn in the reading responses on the 30th. I'm almost done with the reading responce. So I agree with you all!!
ReplyDeleteI agree!!! Where did this semester go? I can't believe it is Thanksgiving and almost Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I would like to have more time for the project.
ReplyDeleteI have reviewed the calendar, our schedule and the assignments.
ReplyDeleteI do not want you to do last minute project or assignment completion over the Thanksgiving weekend. If you choose to work on homework, that is certainly your choice. But, I do not want to make a due date the Monday after Thanksgiving break.
I also want to provide more time to interact with you and provide feedback on your project development. Therefore...
Reading Response is due Wednesday, December 2nd.
Language Project is due Wednesday, December 9th.
We WILL go over the project and how to analyze transcriptions in class on Monday. If you have your sample collected and transcribed you will be WORKING ON YOUR PROJECT DURING CLASS and be gaining valuable feedback and direction on your work.
If you do not have a transcription to bring you will be grouped with another or in a group with someone who does. As we go through and practice how to analyze for Semantics, Form/Syntax and Pragmatics you will do this with your own transcription.
Once we have done this together you will then choose only ONE area (Semantics, Form/Syntax and Pragmatics) that you will actually use as a focus for analysis for your project.
Mrs. White
Awesome~ those dates are even better!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!!! :)
